To the Family of Jimmy Myers,
While I did not know Mr. Myers, it is obvious from the expressions that he will be greatly missed. I too have experienced the loss of a loved one therefore, reminders of God's promises regarding death and the resurrection serve to provide hope and a measure of peace. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I find it comforting to know that death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed. God’s word says 'death is an enemy' and promises it will be 'brought to nothing'. (1Corinthians 15:26). Further, Jehovah God guarantees that the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). So, Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for us assures the restoration of life.
As you know, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life...” ( John 11:25) Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. So, all resurrections took place on earth giving us assurance of what is to come.
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. Myers, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family in the days to come.........
